Celestial Bodies and the Solarii
Hosted at Mi Amor Tulum in August 2022, Celestial Bodies and The Solarii introduces the Solarii, a small space tribe imagined by the artist. Celestial bodies refer both to the planets and solar systems that surround us, as well as the beauty of the feminine form.
Living here in Tulum, we are part of a nomadic collection of sun-loving adventurers. The Solarii are an extension of this — ancient beings traversing the galaxy, like grains of space dust carried on the winds of time.
The works portray the characters within this tribe: warriors, sentries, engineers, pilots, amongst others.
